Chicago Children's Museum

With all of the recent news about the planned move of the Chicago Children's Museum from Navy Pier to Grant Park, I thought I would add my two cents. Personally, I don't think anyone should oppose the move. Grant Park would be a great location, as it is already a hub of family-friendly activities and downtown attractions. The "added congestion" of traffic is nonsense... traffic in that part of the city can't get any worse during daytime hours, and traffic won't change at all during the hours the museum is closed. If you're living in that part of the city, you can't expect traffic to not sit in traffic. The only question I have for the Mayor, the city, and the museum is this: Why not move the museum to a part of the city in need of rejuvenation? I understand wanting to keep the museum downtown, but just imagine what the added tourism could do for certain parts of the city. It could help clean up a new neighborhood and stimulate a local economy. But that's just my two cents.
