I am not a morning person. If it weren't for a strong cup of coffee, I'd probably end up killing someone on my way to work every morning. While I may hate waking up, I do get up early to drink my coffee and watch the news. As the I let the caffeine slowly sink into my veins, I like watching the ABC7 morning news followed by Good Morning America.
I'm going to be honest: I used to make fun of Tracy Butler, the morning meteorologist for ABC7 Chicago. I know it sounds stupid, but for the longest time I swear she looked drunk or hungover every single day. In fact, it's part of why I enjoy watching ABC7 each morning - I would look forward to seeing if Tracy Butler was hungover yet again.
I'm really not trying to be mean. Her clothing, hair, and makeup did her no justice and couldn't hide the fact that she probably isn't a morning person.
However, over the past few weeks I've noticed that she doesn't look the same. She looks... sober?
I should take a step back at this point. I need to qualify my opinion here by saying I have no idea if Tracy Butler drinks, whether she has a problem, or whether hey stylist was just terrible. I don't want to joke about alcoholism, but I've had enough mornings like that to find hangovers amusing.
The fact is that her look has improved lately, and I'm happy for her - whatever the reason.
If I'm being honest though, I miss the disheveled, tired and groggy look. It made me feel better, knowing that I'm not the only person who hates getting up at 5am.
